Dr Swpankumar Ghosh is an eminent physician, dedicated social worker and scholar of Yadav's history. He was the Sheriff of Calcutta for the year 2013. Born on 5th January, 1951 in the district of Murshidabad. He is the eldest son of Bhabani Prasad Ghosh & Jyotirmoyee Ghosh and grand son of Balak Ram Ghosh, one of the pioneer leader of Yadav's socio-religious movements in early 20th century. He travelled length & breadth of West Bengal for the social and educational upliftment of down trodden Yadavs since his student life. He was the State President of Indian Medical Association, Bengal State Branch (2005-06). Former member of Calcutta University Senate, West Bengal University of Health Sciences General Council & West Bengal Medical Council. He was the State President of Nadia District Yadav Sabha form 2008 to 2016, National Working President of All India Yadav Mahasabha from 2018 to 2022 & National President from 2022. Author of Sattar Dasak, Sat Satero, Saptak, Panch Meshali, Yadav Jatir Itihas O Samajik Abasthan, The Sheriff of Calcutta in 240 years, Itihas O Sahitya Maharaja Mohan Lal, 125 years of Chicago Dharma Mahasabha: Swami Vivekananda and many publications in History, Science & Literature of his own credit.
